The OSI model splits networking into seven layers. Layer 1 is the physical cabling and hardware, and layer 7 is the applications your people use. We work on all of them, which is where our name comes from.
Our founder, who has worked in both private and public sector IT, started Layer 7 as a one-person practice helping small businesses with their technology. When he had more clients than he could handle, he incorporated and hired a team of experienced engineers. Most of our growth since then has come from client referrals.
Today we work with both SMB and enterprise clients. We build infrastructure from the ground up, redesign established networks, strengthen security, lower operating costs, and move companies to the cloud.
